If you’re a fan of Genshin Impact, you’ll be happy to know that HoYoVerse just announced a new title in Zenless Zone Zero. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic metropolitan city and offers players an engaging story, a futuristic art style, unique characters, and an action-oriented combat system.
In the game, players take on the role of a “Proxy” as they go on an adventure with a diverse team to defeat unknown enemies and solve the mysteries of New Eridu.
The Story
Zenless Zone Zero tells the story of a world where modern civilization has been destroyed by a supernatural disaster called “Hollows.” These grow from thin air and create disordered dimensions where monsters known as the “Ethereal” roam. New Eridu is the last urban civilization standing and only has the technology to extract valuable resources out of the Hollows.
As more people started to settle in New Eridu, it started the massive exploration of the Hollows for its perpetual expansion. The Hollows eventually became industrialized and monetized leading to an increase in the tension between monopolistic enterprises, gangs, conspirators, and fanatics.
What is a “Proxy?” They are specialized professionals who guide those who want to explore Hollows. Different people have various reasons for entering the Hollow and these “Proxies” serve as their indispensable partners.
