Just when you thought FarmVille was done, Zynga announced that a new game is set to join the franchise. FarmVille 3 is ready to offer players fun and affectionate ways to interact with different animals like cuddly sheep and even dancing cows.
To get an idea of what to expect, you can watch the sneak peek video below:
Just in case you weren’t able to take the time to watch the preview, it’s pretty much a 20-second video of the upcoming game. It begins with cows happy on the arrival of a new calf and then followed by a lamb that’s jumping with excitement as it’s surrounded by its parents. The scene then shifts to a montage of lovable animals with the beautifully crafted countryside in the background. We also see the animals interact with the farmhands and the environment.
At this point, it should be obvious what one of the new features is going to be. Players can breed and nurture baby animals from at least 150 unique varieties that include, among others, pigs, horses, alpacas, and even arctic foxes.
FarmVille was an agriculture-simulation social network game both developed and published by Zynga. The gameplay had players perform different aspects of farmland management like plowing land, planting, growing, and harvesting crops, harvesting trees, and raising livestock.
FarmVille was launched on Facebook back in 2009 and rose to become the most popular game. The game held that position for more than two years. Milestones included peaking at 83.76 million monthly active users and 34.5 million daily active users. By 2016, it started to decline in popularity. Eventually, by December 2020, Zynga discontinued the game as Facebook ended support to games running on Flash Player.
To Zynga’s credit, the studio had released FarmVille 2: Country Escape on Android and iOS back in 2014. Compared to other games in the franchise, Country Escape allows offline gameplay.
No release date has been revealed for FarmVille 3 yet.
