Playing such American Horror Story roles as “frankenboyfriend” Kyle Spencer in Coven, lobster boy Jimmy Darling in Freak Show and 1930’s serial killer ghost James Patrick March in Hotel, Evan Peters has shown incredible range in his looks. But could a recent style change give clues about the actor’s role in the upcoming Season 6 of the horror Anthology?
Peters recently shared on Instagram, a photo of himself sporting a rather epic beard and unruly hair. Since we are halfway through spring and far away from “No Shave November,” fans and publications have run wild with excitement.
The photo includes no caption, but many are already convinced that Peters’ new beard is for the upcoming season of American Horror Story. MTV even drafted a list of possible plots for Season 6, which could explain Peters’ beard, including Gold Rush, Shipwrecked and Game of Thrones LARPers (they clearly had a little fun with some of the suggestions).
At this time, the theme of American Horror Story Season 6 has not been finalized. AHS veteran, Denis O’Hare recently divulged that writers were previously narrowing in on a theme but have since changed their minds.
American Horror Story executive producer, Ryan Murphy, has revealed at the 2016 Paley Festival in March that Season 6 will involve two themes and that one theme may involve children .
At this time, it is not confirmed whether Peters will appear in Season 6 of American Horror Story; however, the likelihood is great considering he’s starred in every prior season. Stars confirmed for Season 6 include Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett and Denis O’Hare. Murphy has also said Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Finn Wittrock have all been invited back for the upcoming season.
