Even with all the tidbits of information revealed about the coming season of American Horror Story , details about Season 6 remain extremely vague. Executive Producer Ryan Murphy isn’t helping by revealing that the upcoming season will revolve around two themes, which just leaves us with even more questions.
"We've been working on two ideas at once, which we've never done, so I don't want to say what it is, but ... it will have a different form than we've ever done," Murphy said during the American Horror Story: Hotel panel at the 2016 Paley Festival Monday.
Early rumors suggested that American Horror Story might have two seasons during 2016; however, having two major themes within one season may be Murphy’s way of executing the same feat. There were also rumors in January that Season 6 would center on the Internet meme Slender Man ,but those rumors were quickly refuted.
At this time few details are known about Season 6 other than the fact Lady Gaga and Angela Bassett will return . Murphy also said during that all of the panel’s attendees, including Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Denis O'Hare, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Finn Wittrock have been invited back, but would not say which actors are confirmed for the season.
