UPDATE
A video teaser including the American Horror Story Season 6 logo was uploaded to Facebook by user, gagatribe Tuesday. It is not certain whether the teaser is an official from FX or a fan-created render.
Original Story
American Horror Story fans got a surprise Monday as tidbits of information about Season 6 appeared on social media channels for the show. Many were certain the Season 6 theme would soon be announced after these channels went black on June 14; however, as of Monday, the AHS Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts don profile pictures and cover photos of a mysterious symbol that looks like a cross between the number six and a question mark.
There has still been no official word on what is happening with American Horror Story Season 6, but this has not stopped rumors from circulating. A recent report from On Location Vacations suggested scenes for the show were being filmed on Los Angeles last week. Two confirmed cast members have indicated Season 6 either is already filming or will begin filming within the next two weeks.
Reports have also indicated that Twentieth Century Fox Television and FX cancelled their June 13 For Your Consideration Emmy Event, where the American Horror Story Season 6 theme was expected to be revealed. The event was cancelled following the shooting in Orlando on June 12.
But as most of AHS Season 6 remains shrouded in mystery, yet another show alumni has announced his participation in the upcoming anthology. Actor Cheyenne Jackson confirmed to Entertainment Weekly and on social media Monday that he will be part of Season 6. The actor debuted on American Horror Story in Season 5 as fashion designer Will Drake.
Jackson will join Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett, Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters, Leslie Jordan and Matt Bomer as part of the AHS Season 6 cast. Finn Wittrock has also revealed he is in talks with showrunners about being involved in the season.
