In the latest Animal Crossing Pocket Camp update, players can now meet seven new villagers as well as craft their preferred new style of furniture: “rustic.” The new style is a particularly welcome change, since sporty/cute/natural/cool really only gets you so far (and I’ve already crafted everything, thanks in part to my crippling insomnia. Shout-out!).

There’s also a new “Host the Most Initiative” to encourage players to interact with the new villagers. “For a limited time, your friendships will grow more quickly than usual when completing requests,” reads the in-game notice. This event runs from 12/21 at 1 a.m. EST to 12/27 at 12:59 a.m. EST and is a great way to get the new rustic essence in hand:

• Host 2 animals: x3 rustic essence

• Host 3 animals: x3 rustic essence

• Host 4 animals: x5 rustic essence

• Host 5 animals: x10 rustic essence

• Host 6 animals: x20 leaf tickets

• Host 7 animals: x30 leaf tickets

In other words, get all the new villagers to come on over to your campsite for a total of 11 rustic essence and 50 leaf tickets. Not too shabby! But a lot of the furniture they require takes a lot of time to craft, and the event only runs a week, so it’s best to get started now. (Of course, if you haven’t unlocked all of the old villagers yet, now’s a good time to do that, since they count towards the challenge as well).

As for the new villagers, they unlock at different player levels and there’s not a dud in the bunch (no Raddles this time, folks). Check them out below:
