Apex Legends Season 12 Defiance will go live worldwide on February 8. As you would expect, the new season will bring one brand-new Legend, changes to an existing map, several balancing tweaks, and bug fixes.
Here, we will discuss the new Legend, Mad Maggie. Her real name is Margaret Kōhere, and she’s from the planet Salvo. If you have been playing Apex Legends for a while, then you would know about her history with Fuze. She is the one responsible for Fuze’s losing his arm. There’s gonna be some interesting voice lines between the two for sure.
Abilities
The developer of the game, Respawn Entertainment, has released a character trailer revealing her abilities in great detail. Maggie has a good kit in her hands. She’s one of the few Legends to have two passive abilities. Enemies damaged by her will be temporarily highlighted, and she can run fast, despite using a shotgun.
Maggie’s tactical ability is called Riot Drill. It’s a throwable drill that burns enemies through obstacles, even hardcovers. The drill can penetrate Gibraltar’s Shield Dome, doors, and hard walls. It’s a great gadget to flush out enemies camping inside buildings.
Her Ultimate Ability is quite interesting. It’s a wrecking ball that drops speed-boosting pads whenever it hits the ground. The said pads also detonate and damage nearby enemies. The wrecking ball seems very situational but I guess we will have to try it out for ourselves.
