Arrow just added another villainous big bad to Season 5. As you’ve probably heard, Oliver is heading to Russia to conclude the four-season long Lian Yu flashback sequence. As if Russian mob leader Anatoly Knyazev wasn’t brutal enough, we’re about to meet his boss -- the Godfather of the Bratva. Justified’ s David Meunier will play crime boss Ishmael Gregor.
Gregor is a “slick and intimidating” figure who takes special interest in Oliver Queen, according to Deadline. Anatoly is said to report to Gregor, so it’ll be interesting to see why Gregor is so interested in Oliver. If you remember from the Season 2 flashbacks, Oliver became friends with Antoloy after he saved his life from the corrupt scientist, Anthony Ivo, on Lian Yu. In return, Anatoly made Oliver a Bratva captain.
