Axis Vidius is the world’s smallest camera drone . The mini quadcopter is equipped with a camera that records video in 420p and an Android and iOS compatible smartphone app. Just 1.7-inches wide and 1-inch tall, the drone does not need be be registered with the FAA because it weighs less than half a pound .

Control Vidius with your smartphone or its custom controller. Fly the device up to 100 feet away and watch it do 360-degree flips and rolls in the air. A live video feed of your flight is transmitted over a wi-fi connection via the Vidius Drone app. The quadcopter has three speeds and LED colored night lights. With a flight time of only 5-7 minutes per 20 minute charge, this drone is probably best for backyard play.

Axis is offering a pre-order sale. Buy the mini drone for $75 before the price increases to $95. The Vidius will ship by Jan. 29. If you don’t want to deal with the FAA and no fly zones, this little gadget may be a good option.

In the same vein, Mokacam is the world’s smallest 4K camera . Weighing just 96 grams, the camera is no heavier than a third of a pound. It’s a perfect square cube, 1.77 inches wide and 1.77 inches tall.If you are looking for something with longer battery life to capture precious on-the go moments, check out Mokacam .

At $200, it’s affordable compared to other 4K cameras of the same caliber. Arriving in February, the device has a super convenient magnetic mount feature. It is also compatible with all GoPro mounts, clamps and harnesses. While the Axis Vidius is a cool concept, it’s not particularly useful with just a 5-minute flight time and low picture quality. However, it’s still an entertaining around the house toy.
