Publisher and developer Inti Creates confirmed a separate PC release for Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 in its latest announcement, with this version coming sometime during this winter. Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, the third action-adventure platformer in the Azure Striker series, will first release on Nintendo Switch, July 28, followed by Xbox Series and Xbox One releases on August 2. As is the case with the other games in the series, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 will be headed to PC via Steam, where a store page is now open to wishlist the game. Like its predecessors, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is an action-adventure run-and-gun platformer featuring the unique art style of the series. It features an involving story and challenging yet satisfying gameplay, and players will play as both the new star Kirin and longtime series protagonist Gunvolt.
New to Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is a mode called Story Mode+, keeping the gameplay flowing without breaking the character narratives. This means that the characters on-screen will continue to talk and banter without the gameplay pausing, allowing for a much more immersive experience. In addition, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 will feature both Japanese and English voice-overs for those who want either.
New songs from Lumen, the “Muse,” are also featured, with Gunvolt activating them once he racks up enough “Kudos” points. At this time, Lumen will start her own performance, replacing the current stage track with her own vocal performance. Seven brand-new songs are featured in Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 in addition to the huge collection of classic songs from previous titles.
Another new feature in Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is the Image Pulse, a brand-new power that allows Gunvolt to harness his memories with the help of Kirin. Players can collect over 150 types of these Image Pulses, each allowing Gunvolt to summon both comrades and rivals from his past to attack his current enemies.
