Fortnite announced that its Battle Lab is now available as update 11.31 goes live. Another change that arrived with this update is that Playground is now under Creative. Fortnite also revealed that they have temporarily disabled the DirectX 12 beta and developers hope to re-open those doors sometime in early 2020.
So what is Battle Lab all about? In essence, it serves as your own Battle Royale Island where you make the rules. All you need to do is to first select from a choice of LTM loot pools. After that, you can then set up combat scenarios using the new Bot Grenades. You can then create your own mode by putting in options like fall damage and gravity.
After that you can fill up your game with up to 15 friends or matchmake with default options in a public Battle Lab.
As mentioned, Playground now has a new home and can be found under the Creative tab. Get to Creative maps with others by queuing for Creative and choosing “Play” instead of “Create.”
