Gearbox published a new Battleborn trailer this week, to prepare fans for the launch of the game’s open beta, and anyone still struggling to get a grasp of what exactly Battleborn is about should definitely take a few minutes to check out the game’s new bootcamp trailer.
The new Battleborn trailer emerged just one day before the launch of the game’s open beta, which begins today on PlayStation 4, and offers a surprisingly well-rounded breakdown of the game’s plot, 25-character roster and match types. We even get a bit of background information on the relationships and allegiances that exist between the members of each faction represented on the Battleborn roster. Only seven of those heroes will be available to the community when the testing period begins; however, players can unlock the remaining 18 characters over the course of the Battleborn beta by leveling up their profile.
For those who may have forgotten, access to the Battleborn beta will be staged by platform. PlayStation 4 owners will be allowed in first, beginning on April 8, followed by PC and Xbox One owners on April 13. Everyone will be allowed to continue playing until April 13. Once the test is over, anyone interested in playing Battleborn will have to pay $60 for the game when it heads to stores next month.
To get a complete rundown of the characters and content players will see in the Battleborn open beta, take a few minutes to watch the new bootcamp trailer from 2K and Gearbox Software. Then head down to the comments and let us know whether or not you’re planning to take part in this month’s Battleborn open beta.
Battleborn is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game’s open beta runs April 8-18 and Battleborn will make its retail debut on May 3.
