Blade & Soul ’s second content update is on its way just weeks after the first was announced. Unchained will arrive on March for North America and Europe, less than a month after Rising Waters, and comes with a new class and new environments as well.

Unchained brings the much-requested Warlock class to the Jin and Lyn races. “Using mid-range abilities, the Warlock snares their enemies, executes fast and furious combos, and can then summon a massive, demonic Thrall to finish them off. The mixture of dark shadowy magic and explosively vibrant techniques, the Warlock has substance, in addition to being able to dish out serious damage,” states the official Warlock description .

NCSOFT West promises a Warlock class week on Feb. 22 to explain the details and mechanics of the new class further. Also, all players will have an additional character slot to hold their new Warlock character free of charge, as well as a new maximum character number of eight.

The Unchained content update for Blade & Soul will also add two new environments. These environments, available for all players, are the Naryu Labyrinth dungeon and Floor 8 of Mushin’s Tower.

The Naryu Labyrinth is a Heroic dungeon for both 6 and 4-player parties, offering a combat challenge in 3 dynamic stages. “After each encounter, one of the doors leading to the next area of the dungeon will unlock at random,” says the Blade & Soul website, meaning players can have a new experience each time they go for the challenge.

As for Floor 8 of Mushin’s Tower, players will have the opportunity to challenge an ethereal version of Mushin himself in a new single-player Heroic encounter. Floor 8 is the final floor of the first section of Mushin’s Tower.

Finally, an assortment of new features, class balance changes and updates to the game experience are also on the way.
