After its initial release on PC last November 21, publisher PLAYISM has now dated the first-person action title Bright Memory: Infinite for a July 21 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and Nintendo Switch. Curiously enough, PLAYISM announced two versions of the game for these new releases, as noted on Twitter:
At the time of writing, there’s no information telling of differences between Bright Memory: Infinite Platinum Edition for Xbox Series, and Bright Memory: Infinite Gold Edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. It’s worth noting, however, that the Steam release has a bundle for the Gold Edition version, and it includes seven DLCs:
- Bright Memory: Infinite Cheongsam (New Year) DLC - 5 weapon skins, 1 character skin, Smartphone wallpaper
- Bright Memory: Infinite Cheongsam (Blue Flowers) DLC - 5 weapon skins, 1 character skin, Smartphone wallpaper
- Bright Memory: Infinite Skinny Jeans DLC - 5 weapon skins, 1 character skin, PC wallpaper, and smartphone wallpaper
- Bright Memory: Infinite Energetic DLC - 5 weapon skins, 1 character skin, PC wallpaper, and smartphone wallpaper
- Bright Memory: Infinite Youthful Days DLC - 5 weapon skins, 1 character skin, Smartphone wallpaper
- Bright Memory: Infinite Black Kitten DLC - 5 weapon skins, 1 character skin, Smartphone wallpaper
- Bright Memory: Infinite Bikini DLC - 5 weapon skins, 1 character skin, Smartphone wallpaper
That said, the publisher outlined several console-specific features coming when the game launches later this month. Both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions of Bright Memory: Infinite will feature two modes: a 60 FPS mode with ray tracing reflections support, and a 120 FPS performance mode for those who want the smoothest gameplay experience. Also native to the PlayStation 5 is the utilization of the various DualSense adaptive trigger features.
For those who are looking to get the game on Nintendo Switch, this version will run on native hardware as opposed to cloud-based. Bright Memory: Infinite on Switch will also utilize multi-sampling of TAA (temporal anti-aliasing) to increase overall fidelity alongside gyroscopic aiming support. All console versions will also include all cosmetic DLCs that were first released on PC.
Bright Memory: Infinite initially started as a one-man passion project called Bright Memory, first released on Steam in March 2020. It picked up traction from there and was then followed up as a full-sized game called Bright Memory: Infinite under PLAYISM. The game is notable for its action-packed sequences and incredible visual fidelity. It features a variety of weapons, allowing players to mix and match skills and abilities to eliminate their enemies.
