The Gower Brothers' newest oldschool MMORPG Brighter Shores is finally out in early access and offers players a ton of content to experience.

One of the game's core features is its episodic storyline which currently has four main regions to unlock. Each of these areas has its own sets of equipment that are stronger when used within the areas themselves.

You can also find items that are untuned or are not tied to any specific episode or region in the world of Adothria. Players cannot wear these equipment until they have tuned them to the specific areas, which require the use of an obelisk.

In the early stages of the game, you can find the Hopeport obelisk that you can use to tune your weapons to the first region. However, it is broken and you first have to finish The Obelisk quest to be able to use it for yourself.

The Obelisk Quest

In order to start this particular quest and work on unlocking tuning for your equipment, you will first have to get a total level of 60.

After you level up your other professions, you have to talk to Corporal Binns and then Commander Hackett on the walls of the Town Gates, according to Game Rant.

Completing this quest rewards you with the ability to tune your untuned equipment at the Hopeport obelisk to make them usable in the region. It also gives you a hefty 10,600 experience points for the Guard profession.

How To Complete the Quest

When you start The Obelisk quest, you will be asked to retrieve a stolen key that a goblin thief enemy has mischievously taken. After beating this foe and returning the key, you will receive two untuned swords.

You now need to travel to the Hopeport obelisk in order to tune the equipment you have been given. When you arrive in the area of the obelisk, you discover that a missing piece was lost and needs to be found to repair the obelisk.

The missing spike for the obelisk was supposedly brought downstream and has made its way to Wilhope Crossing where there are Pufferfish in the water. The item you need can be found near the wall, Sportskeeda said.

After bringing the missing spike back to the obelisk, another problem is found as the repairman is not able to put it back. You are then given an instruction tablet that needs to be deciphered to teach you how to fix the issue.

You have to travel to Naybeth the Philosopher's home near the Town Gates of the Hopeport region. After talking to the NPC, you are given several stone tablets that will be required for the next part of the quest.

Return to the obelisk, investigate the instruction tablet that you have, and take note of the symbols you see. You have to place the right stones in the four pedestals around the Hopeport obelisk.

Doing so will summon a Cryoknight who will try to fix the obelisk but is unable to because their magic is being blocked. You need to travel to the Training Grounds and speak with Anjay Sandorman to grant access to the Cryoknight's magic, according to MSN.

Going back to the Hopeport obelisk one final time will see the repair of the obelisk and tuning of the two swords that you were given. Returning to Commander Hackett will complete The Obelisk quest and the ability to tune equipment with the Hopeport obelisk.
