'Call of Duty: Black Ops 6' Season 1: Release Date, New Content, and More

Activision and Treyarch seem to be planning something big for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Season 1 update. This comes in the form of a "massive content drop" being teased.

The publisher confirmed that Season 1 of the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise is set to arrive on Nov. 14, 2024. Activision also noted that it will include a variety of new content.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1

Activision said that the start of Season 1 will add a "colossal amount of free content." These include all-new Multiplayer maps and modes. There will also be a terrifying new in-season Zombies map that players can experience.

There are also new things coming to Call of Duty: Warzone, including Omnimovement and Black Ops 6 weapons and loadout features.

Activision confirming the start date of Season 1 comes after the date was previously leaked due to a promo by Little Caesars Pizza, according to Insider Gaming.

Despite the tease by Activision and Treyarch, players still have no concrete idea about the full inclusions of Season 1 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. They have to wait until shortly before the start date to get official patch notes.

The publisher said that during that time, it would break down "all the new maps, modes, weapons, features, and more across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Call of Duty: Warzone."

New Content and Features

Ahead of the game's Season 1 update, there is quite a bit of new content that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will get for players to enjoy. These include the new Infected mode and the addition of the classic Nuketown map, PCGamesN said.

The currently playable portion of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is its pre-Season 1 phase. This noticeably lacks a variety of features, such as a Battle Pass as well as Ranked Play. There are also a variety of maps and playlists that are not present.

The game is already available to download and play on PC as well as PlayStation and Xbox. It is also on mobile through Xbox Cloud Gaming. But with all of the missing features, many fans of the franchise are eagerly waiting for the launch of Season 1.

The Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expected to cost roughly $10 or around 1,100 COD Points in-game.

This would be relatively accurate if Activision did not suddenly decide to raise the price compared to previous Battle Passes, according to One Esports.
