Publisher Activision and developer Treyarch are bringing more content to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6" with the upcoming "Terminator" crossover set to bring the T-800 in a limited-time event.
The developers detailed plans for the new season's content drop in a blog post that talks about maps, modes, guns, and changes. These include information about how the Terminator himself will come alongside unlockable rewards.
The Terminator Crossover
There will also be in-game skins that players can get to let them look like they were created within a Skynet factory. The main addition in the upcoming update is the Terminator Tracer Pack that adds two skins based on the T-800 cyborg.
This was the robot that Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger played and made famous in the 1980s. The Titanium Core skin looks like it was taken straight from the movies and features the iconic cold facial features and glowing red eyes.
On the other hand, the T-800 skin is bringing Schwarzenegger's likeness to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6." While this particular skin is not based on the actor's younger self, it still aims to bring some fun interactions within the popular shooter, according to IGN.
Additionally, the upcoming "Terminator" crossover also brings four Weapon Blueprints, a special finishing move, a new emote, an emblem, and a calling card. Players can also expect to enjoy the "Terminator" event from Feb. 6, 2025, to Feb. 20, 2025.
A Ton of Content
This would be for "Call of Duty: Warzone," Multiplayer, and Zombies modes where they will be tasked with collecting skulls to unlock more than a dozen rewards. There are also two other events planned: Shadow Hunt and St. Patrick's Day: Clover Craze.
These events will add even more unlockables that players can access to make Season 2 even more exciting.
The latter has players collecting four-leaf clovers, which are acquired by landing eliminations in Multiplayer and Zombies, as well as eliminating players and opening caches in "Warzone," the Call of Duty blog said.
On top of these, new game modes are coming to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6," such as Overdrive, Gun Game, 3v3 Gunfight, and a playlist that is geared towards duos.
There are also various quality-of-life updates that aim to make the overall gaming experience smoother.
The latter include reduced collision with teammates in order to improve maneuverability when in tight spaces and doorways with nearby teammates. There are also some updates to weapon balance pass and bullet penetration, according to Game Spot.
