Developer Infinity Ward has just wrapped up the first Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta weekend, and is looking to expand and get more feedback from players. To do so, the next beta weekend will be open to ALL PS4 players.
The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta Weekend 2 will take place this coming weekend, Oct. 21 to Oct. 24. It is unknown if the beta time will be extended by 24 hours like this past weekend’s beta. It is confirmed that progress will carry over to the next beta weekend, but will not carry over to when Infinite Warfare is released.
“We’ve introduced a new matchmaking system into Infinite Warfare designed to provide the highest quality matches possible, and the Beta is our chance to stress test,” Infinity Ward said in a blog post. “We’ve been looking forward to the Beta because changes such as these require player data at scale in order to truly optimize the new system.”
As for what will be included in the second weekend of the beta, that seems to be up to Infinity Ward. The company has already added new maps and game modes during the first beta weekend, so we could see even more content to try out this weekend.
That is, if we can tear ourselves away from our PSVR headsets.
So what do you think? Are you going to be playing in the Infinite Warfare beta weekend this weekend? Do you think you’ll wait until release to pick up your copy? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
