Call Of Duty: WWII will get a free update to coincide with the launch of the Resistance DLC on PS4, and the staff at Sledgehammer Games has revealed a few details about the patch’s highlight features. Here’s what we know courtesy of two recent threads on the game’s official subreddit.

These topics will either be fixed or explained in the coming days:

  • Domination Changes: Domination will offer 50 points per kill instead of 100. While the testing for the new scoring system is underway, a special Domination XL playlist will keep the value at 100.
  • Spectator Bug Fix On Console: The bug where players erroneously enter matches as a spectator is being fixed.
  • Sprint-Out Times: Some say the time to transition from sprint to gunfire is too long for SMGs and shotguns. This is being analyzed.
  • Loud Announcer Volume: The announcer volumes will likely be brought down in the next update.
  • Health Regen: The team acknowledges complaints that health regen is too slow.
  • Shellshock Effects: The game currently shakes the screen even for friendly explosions. That might change.
  • Scorestreaks: The community is demanding a buff to make Scorestreaks more pervasive in multiplayer matches. Costs could be reduced to make that happen.
  • Shotgun Tuning: Some say the Combat Shotgun is too strong while the Sawed-Off Shotgun could use a buff. These sorts of issues are being investigated.

These posts arrive as Sledgehammer attempts to be more transparent with its thriving community in the year ahead. So far, the developer has done a pretty good job of keeping that promise. Earlier this week Sledgehammer community managers announced that a major patch is in the works to address community concerns. Now we have a better idea of what those concerns might be. Game Director Michael Condrey also made his way to the subreddit to suggest guns like the M1 Garand, STG44 and FG42 are being considered for tweaks in the upcoming rollout of buffs and nerfs. These adjustments clearly aren’t ready for the public yet, but it’s nice to hear the right discussions are being had.

Call Of Duty: WWII is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. This update is expected to roll out across all platforms by the end of January.
