Call Of Duty: WWII is the next big game getting the Twitch Prime treatment. According to posts on the service’s official website, subscribers will be able to unlock special bonuses like the Bomb Voyage Zombies camo, Month Supply Drops and more. In addition, Twitch’s parent company, Amazon, is selling the game for a heavily reduced price for today only.
Players can purchase the standard physical edition of Call Of Duty: WWII now for $37.99. Should you happen to be a Twitch Prime sub as well, an additional $5 voucher brings the game’s final price down to $32.99. In case you’re counting dollars, that’s a substantially better price than pretty much every Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale that took place over the past week.
Twitch Prime is a premium tier of the video streaming service exclusive to Amazon Prime members. In addition to monthly loot bonuses, perks also include ad-free viewing and one free channel subscription every 30 days. If you’re already taking advantage of Amazon Prime, unlocking any future WWII loot is as simple as linking Twitch Prime to your account.
We don’t imagine any of this loot will be game-changing, but if you’re the type of Call Of Duty player who has to have everything, limited-time events like these can be pretty fun. More information on the nature of the perks is expected to be revealed in the coming days and weeks.
This news arrives on the day Call Of Duty: WWII begins its first of what promises to be many ranked seasons. Starting at 1 p.m. EST on Dec. 1, players can compete for Pro Esports status using official Call Of Duty World League rules. This placement season focuses on 4v4 matches and will break the best players up into one of seven tiers. Those in the top 100 leaderboards after season 1 ends will be granted Pro status. For competent soldiers who don’t fare quite as well, Sledgehammer has promised there will be exclusive helmet rewards too.
In short, Call Of Duty: WWII is cheaper than it’s ever been during its most critical competitive time. If you’ve got Twitch Prime and aim to leave your mark on the Esports world, now’s the best opportunity to strike.
Call Of Duty: WWII is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
