Call Of Duty: WWII Supply Drop weapons leaked following an update last week, and now those details have been supplemented by additional modes and tons of video footage. Want a sneak peek at the future of this game? Look no further than this reupload of IAMJarni’s video courtesy of reddit’s xXCrankXx93.

In case the clip gets removed, here are all the modes you can expect to see during Call Of Duty: WWII’s time as Activision’s premier multiplayer shooter:

  • Gun Game: A short free-for-all match where players must get a kill with each weapon in specific tiers.
  • Lockdown: A wave-based mode where players compete to kill herds of zombies.
  • Infected: One player takes on the role of Infected and must kill all other survivors. Each killed player becomes Infected. The match ends when time runs out or all survivors are killed.
  • Control: We suspect this is a revised take on Domination.
  • Demolition: It’s like Search & Destroy except there are respawns and each attacker spawns with a bomb. Bombs must be detonated over a shortened time period.

While none of these modes are technically new to the franchise, they aren’t currently available in the latest version of WWII. We also saw datamined evidence of these match types leading up to launch, but this is the first time they’ve been complete enough to be playable in a modded version of the game.

Most of the weapons featured in the clip mirror the Supply Drop gun leaks that surfaced last week. The full list of mined contents is below, and the returning guns seem to act very similarly to how you’d expect. It’s difficult to gauge their effectiveness because the video only features AI bots, but here’s what we’ve seen so far:

  • Gewehr 43
  • Type 5
  • Volkssturmgewehr
  • Beretta 38
  • Sten
  • Breda 30
  • M1919
  • MG81
  • Arisaka
  • Winchester 94 Lever Action
  • Enfield No. 2
  • Walther P38
  • Reichsrevolver
  • Icepick
  • Combat Knife
  • Trench Knife

That’s a pretty long and exciting list for Call Of Duty: WWII fans to look forward to, but an anticipated downside to all that awesome news is that many or all of these forms of defense could be relegated to randomized Weapon Supply Drops that can be purchased with real-world money. The inherent challenge, then, is to ensure these guns don’t provide a measurable advantage over the vanilla weapon set. If that’s not the case, pay-to-win concerns might plague what has otherwise been a hugely successful launch.

As for those mentioned modes, our best guess is that the lion’s share of them will be used for weekly events that are free to anyone who logs on during a specific time period. Promotions like these kept the Infinite Warfare community engaged last year and will likely do so again.

Call Of Duty: WWII is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

What do you think of these Supply Drop weapons now that you’ve seen how they operate? Will returning modes keep you invested for longer? Tell us in the comments section!

  • Predictable story
  • Small multiplayer maps
