We are all very excited to play Glen Schofield’s latest horror offering The Callisto Protocol, arriving this December 2 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The developer has already confirmed that newer consoles will be able to run the game at 60 FPS. However, no information about the PC version was revealed. Thankfully, that changed yesterday.
The Steam page of The Callisto Protocol was updated with the official system requirements. After going through the specs, we can say that there are no surprises here. The hardware requirements aren’t as low as we would like but they aren’t super high either.
Just like every major release nowadays, The Callisto Protocol will also only run on Windows 10 64-bit. Both DirectX 11 and 12 are supported and 75 GB of free storage space is required. Although an HDD will work, the devs highly recommend using an SSD.
The game seems quite CPU heavy. For minimum settings, you will require an Intel Core i5-8400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 paired with either a GeForce GTX 1060 or a Radeon RX 580. This set demands 8 GB of RAM as well.
The requirements didn’t mention if these specs are for 30 or 60 FPS. I guess we will have to wait for the official release to know about that.
