Developer Maximum Entertainment just announced the sniper combat simulation game "Center Mass: Streets of Ramadi" for PC via Steam. The game was said to have been built with the help of a former Navy SEAL.
The upcoming game aims to deliver the most authentic, faithful, and immersive sniper simulation experience possible by capturing the true essence of modern combat. "Center Mass: Streets of Ramadi" was inspired by real-life SEAL missions and training.
Center Mass: Streets of Ramadi
It is a first-person tactical shooter that brings players deep into the heart of intense warfare. You will be put in the shoes of a SEAL sniper.
Players are tasked with navigating high-stakes environments, handling lifeline weapon systems, and relying on their skills and teamwork in order to complete high-stakes objectives under pressure.
"Center Mass: Streets of Ramadi" was developed in collaboration with former Navy SEAL Brandon Webb, who was a SEAL Sniper course Head Instructor. The game is built for players who want realism and challenge, according to Gematsu.
Every detail in the game, from Sniper School to deployment, is finely crafted to simulate the tension, precision, and tactical expertise that you need on an actual battlefield. Players can hone their skills in Sniper School with advanced training in long-range shooting.
The game also features authentic weapon mechanics where players can experience diegetic weapon handling with authentic interactions. These include manual scope adjustments to bolt operation.
An Authentic and Immersive Sniper Simulator
There is also a full suite of ballistics players have access to that will be influenced by weather, distance, and ammunition types.
"Center Mass: Streets of Ramadi" will feature dynamic missions where you can engage in different types of objectives, Bleeding Cool said.
The mission types include Special Reconnaissance, Area Surveillance, Overwatch, and High-Value Target Neutralization. Every single mission in the game allows for endless replayability as they have emergent events, such as ambushes and IED discoveries.
"Center Mass: Streets of Ramadi" will also feature cooperative gameplay where players can work together with a spotter to communicate, strategize, and dominate the battlefield.
This allows one player to focus on communications and intel while the other prioritizes executing high-stakes shots.
Maximum Entertainment's Head of Publishing, Shane Bierwith, said that the studio had taken the game to the next level by working with Webb. He added that "Center Mass: Streets of Ramadi" is not your typical sniper game.
Bierwith called the upcoming first-person tactical shooter an immersion in the ruthless discipline and grit of a SEAL sniper. He argued that no other game available can come close to the intensity and precision of the studio's new project, according to Gaming Trend.
