Developer Rebellion announced an official release date for Sniper Elite: Resistance. The studio also shared details about early access and the season pass.
The upcoming shooter will be arriving on Jan. 30, 2025. It will be available on PC and consoles, excluding the Nintendo Switch.
PC players can get the World War II title via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It will also be available on Game Pass as a Day One launch.
Sniper Elite: Resistance Release Date
Players who pre-order Sniper Elite: Resistance will also get a bonus, which is a new Target Fuhrer campaign mission.
They will also receive a weapon skin and the Karabiner 98 Rifle.Pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition gives you the classic M1911 Pistol and two days of early access.
Sniper Elite: Resistance is Rebellion's latest entry in the popular franchise that mixes stealth gameplay with a sniping shooter core. The series is well-known for its slow-motion shots that players view through an X-ray kill cam, according to IGN.
The game lets players take control of protagonist Harry Hawker who is an agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE). This is the first time that he takes the helm in the franchise as he works on uncovering an insidious new Wunderwaffe.
This is something that is immensely strong that it would guarantee the Nazis would be able to win the war. Sniper Elite: Resistance will feature a standalone story that runs in parallel with the events that happened in Sniper Elite 5.
Focusing on a "Hidden War"
Rebellion described the latest game in the franchise as having unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth, and tactical third-person combat. These are all features that fans of the series expect from a Sniper Elite title, WCCFTech said.
The studio said that the new game will not focus on the front line of World War II and instead observe the so-called "hidden war." This war, which takes place far from the front lines, happens deep within occupied France.
The game's Standard Edition will reportedly cost $59.99 while the Deluxe Edition will set you back $89.99.
The latter also includes the Season Pass which will be divided into three bundles. The pass will give you access to three more campaign missions and weapon packs.
Sniper Elite: Resistance's Season Pass also introduces three weapon skin packs that will be available post-launch. Players will also be able to get a character skin for Harry, according to Gaming Bolt.
