Developer Torn Banner Studios has recently launched Patch 2.2.0 for Chivalry 2. This update invites you to celebrate Halloween by wearing Pumpkin Helmets, Jack ‘O Lanterns, and other limited-time spooky items.
New Game Modes
Patch 2.2.0 also introduces a new game mode called Last Team Standing. It is a large-scale, round-based fighting mode where you will battle with other teams. As the name implies, the last team that comes out on top wins.
Existing Team Deathmatch (TDM) maps are supported, but there are new additions as well, including the Falmire Village and Galencourt Amphitheater - the latter will be coming soon. Furthermore, this game mode supports offline play.
If you want to go solo and want to prove your mettle in combat, then the Brawl is for you. This is another game mode where you will duke it out with up to 40 players in the Great Hall or Rudhelm Feast maps. You can use anything you can find or just throw punches until your foes fall one by one.
Matchmaking
Some improvements are added to the matchmaking system. If you started a game and do not have crossplay enabled, for example, only your fellow non-crossplay users can join in. This means that those who have the feature enabled can't play with you.
Speaking of which, disabling crossplay will no longer cause matchmaking problems for those who have the feature enabled.
Performance
Those who are using compatible Nvidia RTX graphics cards will be happy to know that the game now supports the company’s DLSS upscaling technology. This can be enabled in the settings menu under video options.
