Clash Of Clans ’ December update adds dozens of balance tweaks that aim to make higher Town Hall levels more accessible to new players. In other words, Supercell is tired of folks who feel comfortable sticking to Town Hall 8 or 9.
To make those top tiers more bearable for newcomers, troop HP amd housing limits have increased, while overall elixir costs have decreased. Read the full patch notes below.

Supercell has designed every change coming to the main village in the December update to ensure new arrivals at Town Hall 10 and 11 can stay alive for longer periods of time. This buff should also make it more likely for Clash Of Clans’ best players to score a three-star victory. The changes make a lot of sense at face value, but it will be interesting to see how they play out in action. Developers recently expressed interest in pushing more players toward Town Hall 11 before increasing the cap to Town Hall 12. This month’s balancing is a direct reflection of that plan.
This news arrives alongside Thursday’s explanation of the new Clan Games feature. Like the Clan Chest in Clash Royale, Clan Games require clans to work together across the game’s various modes to claim loot rewards. Magic items and a suspicious blue caravan have also been teased, but their use is not yet known.
Clash Of Clans is available now on Android and iOS. A release date for the December update has not been announced, but considering we’re getting deep into December, we expect deployment to be pretty soon.
