Clash Of Clans ’ new Events tab has gotten pretty busy since its reveal last month. As shown in the screenshot below, the next big promotion has been revealed. Those hoping to bring some Dragon firepower to their armies will find a lot to love.
[NEWS] Dragon event coming in 3 days!Directly after the holiday update’s Clashmas promotion ends on Jan. 5, a Dragon event is set to begin. There’s not much we know about its exact provisions, but they’ll likely resemble the Hog Rider one that happened before. Dragons will presumably be offered at a steep training discount, and using them to complete a special Events Challenge will likely offer an XP and gem bonus. Last time the goal was to win three multiplayer matches with at least 10 Hogs in your army. We expect something similar themed around Dragons.
What we don’t know is if this particular event also applies to Baby Dragons as well as regular Dragons. The graphic itself only features the latter, however.
In terms of strategy, the Dragon is one of the strongest troops Clash Of Clans has to offer. It’s a must for taking out air defenses and can be great for downing swarms of Barbarians and Goblins that can’t reach it in the air. It’s especially effective with a well-timed Rage spell.
Of course, there are other benefits to discounted Dragons beyond power alone. These troops can be Elixir drains when it comes to training, so this is a good time to stock up on that particular resource while maintaining a strong attack. If Elixir is what you need, we strongly suggest getting involved.
Assuming this event is similar to the Hog Rider one, we expect it to last about three full days. The exact details of what’s to come will likely be revealed later in the week. Until then, don’t forget to make the most of Santa’s Surprise, the Freeze Trap and Ice Wizard while you still can!
