Supercell has revealed Clash Of Clans’ June 2017 update, and the developer’s official patch notes offer the scoop. The traditional Town Hall gets some much needed love with new troop levels after the addition of the Builder Hall. If you’re a diehard player of the standard game modes, this patch is for you.
New Defensive Updates
- Cannon level 5 [Town Hall 11]: Cannon levels 10-14 upgrade time or cost has been discounted
- Archer Tower level 5 [Town Hall 11]: Archer Tower levels 9-14 upgrade time or cost has been discounted
- Inferno Tower level 5 [Town Hall 11]: Inferno Tower levels 2-4 upgrade time or cost has been discounted. Inferno Tower level 4 multi-mode damage has been increased. Inferno Tower single-mode first stage damage has been changed to match multi-mode damage.
New Offensive Updates
- P.E.K.K.A level 6 [Town Hall 11]: P.E.K.K.A. upgrade time or costs have been discounted across ALL levels
- Wizard level 8 [Town Hall 11]: Wizard levels 6-7 upgrade time or costs have been discounted
- Healer level 5 [Town Hall 11]: At last, the long-awaited new Healer level is here!
- Miner level 5 [Town Hall 11]: Miner upgrade time or costs have been discounted across all levels. Miner level 3 is now available at Town Hall 10 (was at TH11). Miner levels 2-5 hitpoints have been increased.
- Wall Breaker level 7 [Town Hall 11]: Wall Breaker upgrade time or costs have been discounted across all levels.
- Dragon: levels 4-6 hitpoints have been increased
- Hog Rider: levels 6-7 hitpoints have been increased
Builder Base
- Watch Live: Similar to the Live Replay function in the Town Hall, if you complete your Builder Base attack before your opponent, you can now watch your opponent’s attack and see how well your Builder Base defenses perform.
So, while last month’s Builder Base update didn’t do much to change the traditional game modes, this month’s update was all about bringing adjustments to that part of the experience. The only downside, of course, is that almost all of these changes will only impact the game’s most dedicated players. If you’re still grinding away at a Town Hall 9, for example, there’s pretty much nothing here to see.
Speaking of the Builder Hall, it’s somewhat surprising this new addition to the suite wasn’t fleshed out a little bit more. Leaks on App Store images suggest there are new troop levels and troops that have been in the works since before last month’s introduction went live. Right now, it’s not unreasonable to think that maybe we’ll hear more about those additions towards the end of July.
It should be noted that Supercell announced this update amidst the reveal of a Heal Spell event. Those looking to get their brew on against some powerful enemies may want to take advantage quickly. No release date has been offered for the June 2017 update, but we imagine it will go live fairly soon.
Clash Of Clans is available now on Android and iOS.
