Welp, it looks like tournaments could be the next big thing on Supercell’s list of upcoming Clash Royale updates. On Thursday morning the company tweeted a photo showing an updated main menu in the game. The menu includes a new tab labeled “Tournaments.”

While no other information was given, the photo received a ton of positive praise from players on Twitter.
With nearly two months passing since the last major Clash Royale update, it comes as no surprise the company is cooking up something special to send players over the summer months. Of course, we have no idea what the tournaments might entail yet, but safe to say there will be some rewards in it for those who participate and win battles.
The update hint comes just days after the latest balancing changes that saw the hog rider and cannon nuked, while other favorites like the witch, prince and goblin barrel received boosts.
When more is learned about the new tournaments tab teased by Supercell and what it means for players, we’ll be sure to update this post.
