The rumor mill is holding strong for Matt Ryan’s Constantine to find a home on one of DC’s four TV shows. Last month, CW gained rights from NBC to stream Constantine Season 1 in full, and for free, on CW Seed. Bleeding Cool is under the impression this move is no coincidence, and the network is putting out feelers to get a good read on Constantine’s potential audience.
Insiders are even thinking ahead to next year, when Vampire Diaries finally comes to an end. If the CW wants to keep the Friday evening horror scene in play, reviving Constantine would be a smart move. That way, DC TV would own all five nights of the week.
Fans have been hoping Constantine could carve a spot on The CW ever since NBC cancelled the show after just one season. Matt Ryan even made a cameo during Arrow Season 4 , and Oliver has contacted him for friendly advice ever since.
Bleeding Cool's usually reliable sources also claim Batwoman and Orcale will join Supergirl in National City. Jay Garrick’s Flash is also expected to have a presence across all four shows, Legends of Tomorrow in particular.
Stay tuned for confirmation this week during San Diego Comic-Con.
