Crash Bandicoot and the gang are back in Crash Team Rumble, a new title offering a 4v4 team-based multiplayer experience starting June 20. It’s coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and features cross-platform play so players across multiple consoles can team up and join the fun.
Crash Team Rumble lets players form a team from a roster composed of friends and frenemies in the Crash universe. Each team member can be categorized between three roles: Blocker, Booster, or Scorer. Once the team is formed, players need to come up with a strategy to maximize their roles and work synergies. To win, teams must be the one with the most Wumpa fruit in their drop-off zone. It’s not going to be easy since they’ll also need to simultaneously defend the drop zone of the opposing team.
Making things even more exciting are the unique Relic Powers. These items introduce an additional strategic element to the gameplay since they can be used to get the upper hand when scoring.
Crash Team Rumble is developed by Toys For Bob and published by Activision Publishing. In a statement, Toys For Bob Co-Studio Head Paul Yan shared that they’re excited for fans to try the game early during the closed beta, which is happening from April 20 to April 24. Yan added that they value the feedback of the community and use the input to improve the player experience of the game.
