Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire is a new mobile idle clicker or incremental game released by Sega last week. If you’ve played idle clickers before, you’ll notice some familiar features like the ability to prestige or “Sell Out.” However, the game has a few nuances that might make progress seem slow if you’re new to the genre. Below we’ve put together a guide to playing quickly increasing your profits in Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire along with information about how to choose drivers, when to sell out, and how to get more valuable resources like cash and diamonds.
‘Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire’ Tips & Cheats Guide: On Choosing Drivers, Selling Out, Gaining Multipliers And More
Tip #1 - Always Hire Highest Paid Drivers First
Early on in Crazy Taxi Gazillionare you don’t have a lot of choice about which drivers you get, but as time goes on, you’ll find yourself accumulating a variety of drivers and some of them make some insane hourly rates. After your first sell out, make it your priority to hire the drivers that make the most money first. While a lot of people recommend trying to pair drivers to a car that they are compatible with, I have found that hiring the best paid drivers first leads to earning money much faster and Sell Out offers will come quite a bit faster. I especially like to hire a really high paid driver in the first territory – Central – because then the cost of leveling them up is so much cheaper. If you have a couple cabbies that have a earn rate that is very close but one is more compatible with the chosen cab, then of course choose the more compatible option, but in every other case, make the highest paid cabbies your priority.
Tip #2 – Time Your Taps
On your tap screen there are few special kinds of jobs that will pop up: VIPs, Stunts and Fire Multiplier.
- VIPs - VIPs will earn you more cash but you have to make sure to tap them before their timer runs out. If you see a VIP grab them before anyone else.
- Stunts – A stunts button will sometimes appear on the tap screen and if you tap it, it will earn you some extra cash. The amount you earn will depend on the driver who performed the stunt as daring drivers earn more for the stunts they do. Unfortunately, you have no control over which cabbie will do the stunt so it’s basically left up to luck
- Fire/Multiplier – When this icon comes up on the screen I like to wait a few seconds before I tap it. The reason is, the fire button allows you to earn 5X the fare amount for a limited amount of time (around 5-10 seconds). Therefore, it’s good to make sure you can get the best bang for your buck. When I see the fire icon show up, I wait a few seconds to build up a bunch of people who need rides, then I tap the fire button. Right after I’ve tapped it, I quickly tap all the customers who have built up so that I can maximize the effectiveness of that fire multiplier.
Tip #3 – Choose The Best Ads To Watch
- I’m not a huge fan of having to watch ads in games in order to gain valuable resources, but in Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire there are some cases where I think it’s worth it.
- Watch Ads After You’ve Been Away – The thing about idle clicker games is that players continue to earn revenue even when they are away. Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire will pretty much offer you the option to double your away earnings every time when you come back. If I’ve been away a number of hours and have amassed a ton of money, it makes sense to watch a 30 second video to double it.
- Watch Ads To Refuel – another great use of ads is to get a refuel. Refuels allow you to double your earnings for a set amount of time. Most times you’ll be offered an 8 hour refuel multiplier which can really help to boost your earnings quite a bit.
Tip #4 – Push For Milestone Upgrades
Every time you upgrade a taxi, your driver earns more per hour, but when you hit certain milestones you not only see earnings multiplied, you also unlock more perks such as new drivers and driver’s licenses. As drivers accumulate licenses, they can use these to be promoted and earn more per hour. Taxi upgrade milestones fall at 10, 25, 50, 75, and 100 upgrades and then every hundred upgrades after. Every milestone hit doubles the taxi’s profit until you get to 100, where profit increases 5 times. Milestones have obvious benefits, so if you can, strive to upgrade to significant milestones along the way. Early in the game, it’s best to focus your upgrades on the first 2-3 drivers as their upgrades cost the least. In time, take a look at earnings vs. cost to upgrade to determine which taxis are most beneficial to upgrade.
Tip #5 - When Selling Out, Try To Hold Out For Higher Multipliers
Your first sell out is by far the hardest one to obtain and so it’s totally understandable that you may want to do that one as soon as you can. For those who don’t know what the Sell Out is, this is basically like prestige in other incremental/idle clickers. In Crazy Taxi, if you choose to sell out you hand all your money over and all the territories you’ve gained and essentially start from ground zero. However, you get to keep all the cabbies you’ve unlocked and any diamonds or scratch cards you had. The benefit of a sell out is, when you start again, your profits are multiplied by whatever the multiplier is. For example, my first sell out had a 2X multiplier, so my cabbies were earning 2 times as much starting into my next round. Since the first sell out is so hard to get you’ll probably want to do it right away, but after the first one, I’d recommend trying to hold out for a higher multiplier. At the bottom of the sell out screen you can see how much more money you have to earn before you can increase your multiplier. If the amount seems reasonable, then wait it out.
Tip #6 – Time Scratch Card Unlocks
At various times in the game, you will earn scratch cards, which, when they are ready contain valuable resources like cash and cabbie licenses. These take time to unlock so make sure to regularly check that you have one unlocking whenever you can. As a general rule, I spend most of the diamonds I earn on ”rushing” the scratch card unlock. Unlocking a scratch card is particularly effective when you do it right after a sell out. It will quickly give you a lot of cash to work with for hiring drivers and upgrading your taxis.
Tip #7 – Tap In The Area Where You Earn The Most
The further you get in the game, the less often you’ll be tapping, but when you do decide to do some tapping, be sure to do it in the territory where your best paid drivers are. As I said in Tip #1, I try to put my highest paid drivers in the first territory – Central – so if I need to do some tapping, that’s where I spend most of my time.
