It’s here! It’s finally here! Crysis Remastered Trilogy, announced back in June, is out and available. The compilation of three games is now playable on PC via Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. You can also play them on any computer, even if you don’t meet its system requirements via GeForce Now.
The entire trilogy costs $49.99. You can choose to buy the games individually for $29.99 per game, which is kinda high IMO. This might be better for those players who already purchased Crysis 1 Remastered, which was released last year.
The trilogy will grant you remastered campaigns of three games. However, unfortunately, Crysis Warhead is not included, which is quite disappointing. The compilation also doesn’t feature any multiplayer portion. The lack of MP surely hurt the longtime fans.
Before purchasing the trilogy, make sure your PC is strong enough to run these games. Check out our previous article to read the PC system requirements.
Too Many Remasters
It seems like these past years, we have been getting tons of remasters. Heck, Crysis Trilogy Remastered isn’t the only compilation of three games released this year alone. We had Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which was released back in May. GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, which contains remasters GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, is releasing later this year. These are just from the top of my head. I am sure there are several other games that I am missing.
New Games Instead of Re-Releases
I think it’s time to slow down on this continuous re-release of old games. Fans of these franchises will love a new game. We haven’t had a new Crysis game since 2013. The last proper GTA game was also released back in 2013. It’s about time developers start focusing on new games instead of the old ones. Or maybe they can do that after they remake Red Dead Redemption.
