CD Projekt Red's next big RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, is said to feature a complex story in which player choices will impact quest outcomes. Unlike The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 features different Life Paths, and choosing one of three Life Paths is going to be an important choice that players will make when starting the game. The Life Paths featured in Cyberpunk 2077 include Corpo, Street Kid, and Nomad. And it seems that each Life Path will its own arc, advantages, and disadvantages.
Naturally, players will be curious to know how these Life Paths differ from one another, therefore creating multiple save games respective to the chosen Life Path. And CDPR will help you by labeling each save game according to the chosen Life Path. This will eliminate confusion when selecting a particular save file to play.
While it's good to know that the developer will be labeling save games, it isn't clear whether the labeling will help in identifying two different save games from the same Life Path or not. It's not just that Cyberpunk 2077 features different Life Paths, but since Cyberpunk 2077 also features a robust character creator, players will also be interested to see how a certain character may look in-game.
While playing The Witcher 3, I was reloading previous save files when I did not like a certain outcome of a quest. And since CDPR has stated that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a much more complex story than The Witcher 3, I'll be bound to reload a save game if my choices don't result in a satisfying outcome. If the game allows for changing Life Paths any time during the game, the save game labeling feature will become all the more useful.
If you didn't already know, according to CDPR, Cyberpunk 2077 can also be completed by doing side quests alone, so players who may accidentally complete the game this way, may want to reload a save file and play the main the story first.
Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
