There are a lot of different species of fish in Dave the Diver and the biggest sea creatures you catch will usually have a bigger payout.
In the game, there are few fish species that get bigger than the Trevalley and the Giant Trevally is particularly massive. This is one of the biggest fish that players can catch in the Giant Blue Hole.
You can sometimes find these lazy giants just floating around, which makes them relatively easy targets for players who want to catch them. This guide helps you learn the basics of hunting for Giant Trevally in Dave the Diver.
Finding Giant Trevally
In Dave the Diver, players can find Giant Trevally in the Giant Blue Hole at medium depths between 50 meters and 130 meters. These types of fish are not all that hard to find because they are so big and are relatively slow.
Another thing to note is that Giant Trevally is more common in the early chapters of the game.
They also sometimes spawn very rarely during the later chapters. These fishes can be found either by themselves or with a partner but never in a group of more than two, according to The Gamer.
Catching Giant Trevally
If you spot a Giant Trevally, you have a chance of catching it so you can use it in a variety of ways on the surface. The good thing about this species is that it is not hostile when you encounter it in the water.
Due to the Giant Trevally's relatively high health pool, you will probably be attacking it for a while before you defeat it. You can use an upgraded harpoon or weapon to deal more damage to the fish, VG247 said.
When you finally kill a Giant Trevally, you will be able to get two items from its body; Giant Trevally Meat and Giant Trevally Fin. The latter is a particularly rare drop and will not always be part of the rewards.
If you don't see a Giant Trevally Fin as a reward, you just have to move on and find another fish to kill and get rewards from.
Other Tip
It is recommended to upgrade your Air Tank and Diving Suit to at least level 2 so that you can reach where Giant Trevally is found. If you do not do this, your chances of seeing this type of fish will be significantly lower, according to The Nerd Stash.
