Dead Cells, a 2D rogue-lite game, has received a massive update recently. Also known as the Everyone is Here update, it introduces support for more mods, a new log system, and tons of new content. Read further to find out what this new patch has in store for you.
New Outfits
Developer Motion Twin has partnered up with other indie studios to bring some popular characters from various games.
You can play the game as Hollow Knight, Hyper Light Drifter, Luchador Juan from Guacamelee!, and so much more.
To play as these characters, you will have to unlock their outfits by figuring out the riddles and completing the challenges found in the book of clues. You can get this book in the opening area of the game.
In addition, you can unlock new weapons by exploring the unusual rooms found in certain areas around the Prisoners’ Quarters.
New Features
Those who would like to mod the game may be stoked to find that support for extra mods has been implemented. For instance, you can now add Timed Doors to the level scripting API.
This update features a new log system as well. This is a system where internal game data is logged so that developers will know exactly what went wrong in case you experience bugs. The devs expect no perceivable changes in performance on your part. The log files that are generated can be found in the game’s folder.
