Dead Space (Remake) has finally been unveiled to the public in great detail. Developer Motive Studio recently revealed the official gameplay trailer, which showed spectacular visuals and impressive special effects.
Official Gameplay Trailer
As you can see, it looks like the remake won’t cheap out on the scary part. The atmosphere is built to scare the crap out of you. The game features tons of gore, dismemberment, and disgusting enemies. Combine that with terrifying audio, and you have a solid horror game in your hands.
We also saw some combat sequences, boss fights, and zero-g movements. The iconic scene of the tentacle pulling Isaac's leg is also back. Speaking of Isaac Clarke, fans would be happy to know that the iconic character will be voiced by the original voice actor, Gunner Wright.
Release Date, Platform, and Pre-Order
Dead Space Remake will launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on January 27, 2023. The game can now be pre-ordered on both Steam and Epic Games Store for $60. Visit the official site if you want to pre-order the game on consoles.
Another Horror Game
The remake isn’t the only sci-fi horror game releasing in the next few months. Dead Space creator, Glen Schofield, is currently working on a new horror IP, The Callisto Protocol. The said game is built using Unreal Engine 4, coming out on December 2.
Unlike the upcoming remake, The Callisto Protocol will also arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, next-gen consoles, and PC.
Future of Dead Space and Motive Studio
After Dead Space, Motive Studio will be working on the newly-announced Iron Man game. This worries us about the future of the horror IP. Will we get a remake of Dead Space 2 or 3? What about a full-fledged sequel? These questions don’t have answers yet. Maybe EA will decide the future of the horror IP after the reception of the remake.
