Depersonalization has been launched on Steam Early Access. If you're interested in buying the game, then this is a good time to do it since it's being offered at 10% off until December 27. If you're unsure, play the demo now!
In the game, players can create their character and explore the haunting world around them. They get to investigate every dark nook and creepy cranny. Each character comes with four unique traits that influence their personality and how they evolve as they push their way through the world. Every choice the players make changes the direction of the story.
Features of the game include:
- Players can create a variety of characters.
- They can advance the story through free exploration, investigation, reasoning, selection, and other actions.
- No rigid growth system, all attributes are served with narrative.
- Character's attributes influence the direction of the story.
- This allows players to experience a more multi-faceted plot.
- There's a chance that someone with low attributes can trigger incredible events.
- There's a lot of choices available in the story module.
- Different players can reach various plots and endings.
- These experiences eventually come together and form a complete story with ups and downs.
- The "personality" and "experience" of the character are influenced by the choices of the players.
- Investigation modules, infinite modules, plain text modules, or strange story modules are all supported in different modes.
Plans in Early Access
Developer MeowNature revealed that they plan for the game to be in early access for around a year. So, the initial estimated launch is toward the end of 2023.
Before the game is officially launched, the combat module is planned to be updated with some rogue elements in the second quarter of 2023. This is not something new and has been decided beforehand since the contents of the story module are usually consumed too quickly. The combat module is designed specifically for investigators.
Players can also look forward to seeing the text module being launched sooner than others. Of course, this is only when there are no hitches in the development plan.
