Desert Revenant is now on Steam and developer Kreationware is looking for Alpha testers. This new deck-building rogue-like RPG puts emphasis on game knowledge and skill over grind. It takes place in a world where the sand hides secrets and revolt is in play.
For the Alpha build, features include:
- A brand new playable character with lots of unique cards and upgrades.
- A unique focus on minions and summonable allies.
- A new map with dozens of hand-crafted encounters each and multiple difficulty levels.
- A vibrant Arabian world, filled with random encounters. It gives players a peek of the wider story coming with the Early Access launch later this year.
- Players can upgrade cards and carve out their own playstyle.
- Visuals crafted by the gods themselves.
It’s important to remember that once the game goes into Early Access, it may not have the full roster of enemies or all playable characters. Kreationware assured players that the core experience remains.
Join the Alpha
For those interested in joining the Alpha, simply head over to the game’s Discord here. Once there, players need to go to Channel Alpha Test and comment “Alpha Test.” After that, they should get a key.
Prepare for an Adventure
In the game, the city of Soom has been burned, and now the Sultanate is at war against the Jinn Kings. Players choose from a wide range of characters to take on the journey like the Leper and the Seer. They need to put together a deck that can get them through the harsh desert unscathed. The decisions of players can change the storyline of the game and the fate of Elmyr itself.
Players can explore a huge map and collect different cards to do battle with as they face off against a mysterious roster of enemies and villains. There's also a game within a game via mini-puzzles for players to solve.
