If you are one of those players trying to complete the Beyond Light DLC of Destiny 2, you might want to slow things down. The DLC has a major bug and Bungie’s temporary solution, for now, is for players to slowly do it. The Coup de Grace quest isn’t difficult compared to few other raids, however, the bug is quite frustrating.
The boss has multiple stages, and there are methods to beat bosses in fewer stages. Finishing the boss really quickly can cause the bug to occur, so we suggest you do it one stage at a time with the help of an anti-barrier mod for your character build. Another minor bug where players are unable to access portals and progress the mission.
“Players who are experiencing issues in the Coup De Grâce mission are advised to slow down when damaging the High Celebrant. Players should also wait a few seconds before shooting the black blight orb,” suggested Bungie.
If you are having trouble destroying the black orb, try using a shotgun instead, as it seems to have an ongoing bug. You may also wait for a few seconds before shooting that orb.
Even if you manage to clear the final boss and receive the pinnacle reward, there is a big chance the mission might not drop the Fourth Mark ship due to a separate bug. The best idea is to wait for Bungie to roll out a hotfix and then attempt the raid once again.
So, what are your thoughts on the ongoing bugs with the Beyond Light DLC? Personally, I think it’s up to the players to either wait for a hotfix or keep on trying it until you get a drop. Regardless, the upcoming next season will bring more content into the game. So, you can expect an update to go live in the coming days, which may include the bug fixes.
