A new season for Destiny 2 will be upon us soon, and we got a glance at a few of the changes that will come in the near future. The main changes to weapons are for Izanagi's Burden and Lord of Wolves.
Izanagi’s Burden Exotic sniper rifle has become a favorite weapon of many Guardians due to its remarkable burst damage, sustained damage, and ammo economy. The weapon’s Outlaw trait will be replaced with No Distractions, which makes reloading a little slower.
The Lord of Wolves Exotic shotgun has witnessed a major uptick in use, especially in Crucible, due to Release the Wolves. Release the Wolves is an alternate fire mode that shoots a ton of ammo in a short period, making it extremely dangerous at close range. Bungie will be reducing the accuracy of this alternate fire mode, which will make it effective only if the enemy is really close.
Bungie is also tweaking the Last Word Exotic hand cannon to make it more of a hip-fire based weapon. The breakdown of adjusted Fan Fire impact values is mentioned below:
>Precision Hip/ADS adjusted from 67.95/67.95 to 68.27/52.2.
>Non-Precision Hip/ADS adjusted from 50.01/50.01 to 38/38.
The changes will go live at the start of the next season, whatever it ends up being called, but Bungie said that some of the changes are actually in preparation for a new, tougher "Grandmaster" difficulty for Nightfall Strikes that will be rolled out later in the season. This is an interesting bit of news in itself.
Data miners have also claimed the new season will be the “Season of the Worthy”, and will begin on March 9. We might even see the return of the PvP mode Trials of Osiris, but like all good things, we can only wait and see.
So, what are your thoughts on the changes coming to Destiny 2? Do you think the game is going to improve in general with this balance? Personally, I think this is amazing news for the health of the game and I can't wait for the new season to start grinding. Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
