In Bungie’s weekly post, the developers will introduce a new mode in Destiny 2 Trials Labs. Also, there are some clarifications about purchasing Silver, especially if you are playing on Xbox and PC.
New Mode in Trials
For those who do not know, Trials Labs is where developers can implement new features, which may or may not be introduced in the main Trials of Osiris. Think of it as a testing environment.
That said, they will introduce the “Freelance” mode in Trials Labs this week, which is a matchmaking feature where only those who play solo may enter. This means that there are no pre-made fireteams available. To enter, all you have to do is go to the small icon located directly above the main Trials of Osiris node in the Director.
Because you will be going in with random people, you must do your best to coordinate with them. Even though this will be challenging, there are some really sweet rewards if you partake in this limited-time mode.
Trials reputation, for example, will be doubled this weekend. Furthermore, all post-game rewards are increased - whether you’ve lost a game or two in your Trials card or you went flawless.
Those who want to upgrade their gear will be enticed to join as Enhancement Prisms, Ascendant Shards, and Trials Engrams have a chance to drop here.
Also, if you complete the new set of Seasonal Challenges over the weekend, you will get a ton of XP, Bright Dust, and Reed’s Regret Linear Fusion Rifle, pictured below.
The challenges may be hard but the rewards are sweet. Good luck!
Clarification About Silver
Destiny 2 was launched on Microsoft Store for PC last week. Although this move seems to be a good thing for the community, the devs have found something that needs to be rectified ASAP.
You see, if you play on Xbox, you can use the same Microsoft account on that console, as well as on PC. The problem here is that at this time, you have to be careful when buying in-game Silver. That is because the descriptions are not worded correctly.
For instance, if it says “Destiny 2 Silver” only, it denotes the Xbox version of Silver. If it is anything else, then that is for PC.
The developers are working with Microsoft to address this issue. In the meantime, just be careful if you purchase Silver using the same account.
