Additional information on this year’s Festival of the Lost has been added to the Destiny website, hours before the annual Halloween celebration is set to return, and the new disclosures confirm Festival decorations will appear in all three of Destiny: Rise Of Iron’s social hubs this year.
Last week, Bungie revealed the first details about its plans for this year’s Festival of the Lost, the annual pre-/post-Halloween celebration introduced to Destiny last year. We learned this year’s festival will include new weapon ornaments, masks and shaders for the community to collect, along with new quests and the trick or treating that left everyone’s inventory absolutely stuffed with consumables. Recent discoveries even turned up a ridable broom that should prove extra popular with Sparrow racers and/or anyone who loves getting into the Halloween spirit.
Unfortunately, the latest iteration of the celebration will only be available to Destiny: Rise Of Iron players but the shirking of “legacy” consoles has given Bungie the freedom to make improvements to the Festival decor we saw last year. That includes bringing the festivities to the Reef and the Temple of Iron, the social spaces added in House of Wolves and Rise of Iron , and a slight change to the Crucible that ensures we’ll all be fighting “under cover of night” for the next two weeks. For more information on this year’s Festival of the Lost, head over to the official Destiny website or, if you have the option, fire up your console and check out this year’s celebration “in person”.
Destiny: Rise Of Iron is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This year's Festival of the Lost will be available Oct. 25 through Nov. 8.
