Destiny: Rise of Iron, the next expansion coming to the online shooter, will be releasing on Sept. 20 according to a leak found on the official Destiny website. While the site has been changed back, we have screenshots to prove it, courtesy of NeoGAF user Moa.
As we can see in the above image, the box furthest to the right mentions the Rise of Iron trailer. The description reads “Watch the Official Destiny: Rise of Iron Reveal trailer. Rise of Iron launches September 20th, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”
There are two major bits of information to take from this announcement. The first is that Rise of Iron comes out Sept. 20. The second is that there is no mention of the PS3 or Xbox 360. Like GTA Online before it, is Destiny starting to get too big to support the last gen consoles? More than likely, yes.

As for when we will be getting a proper announcement for Rise of Iron, it looks like an announcement livestream will be coming tomorrow, June 9. The stream, leaked by Twitter account @theDestinyBlog, will be taking place at 1:00 pm EDT on the official Bungie Twitch channel.
