A new trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division emerged this week, highlighting the PC version’s 60fps gameplay, and it should assuage the concerns of anyone worried by recent rumors that Ubisoft would dial back the PC port of The Division to keep it in line (graphically) with console versions of the game.
There’s nothing new to be learned about Ubisoft’s upcoming third-person shooter in this week’s trailer. Rather than focus on the game’s story or setting, the latest trailer for The Division takes a couple of minutes to show all the different ways PC gamers can look forward to having their breath taken away. From truly impressive environmental destruction to volumetric lighting and real-time reflections, it doesn’t look like there will be any shortage of reasons for PC gamers to poke fun at the inferior looks of The Division’s PS4 and Xbox One ports.
Granted, console players don’t have to worry about hackers to the same degree as their PC-owning counterparts. And we’re sure Massive has a few tricks in its back pocket to ensure The Division will be one of the best-looking games on the PS4 and Xbox One, too. But it doesn’t look like there will be any question as to whether or not the PC port of the game looks better than the console builds.
If you haven’t already, take a couple of minutes to check out the latest trailer for The Division. Then head down to the comments section and let us know what platform(s), if any, you’re planning to play The Division on when the game hits stores next month.
