An open beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division will begin later this week, just as Ubisoft promised last week, and those planning to participate in the game’s next round of testing might be excited to know the beta build of The Division is already available for download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
We’re still 24-hours removed from the launch of the Tom Clancy’s The Division open beta, which comes just a couple of weeks after Ubisoft and Massive hosted a closed beta on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but fans planning to join this week’s beta can already install the latest build of the game. Ubisoft says those took part in last month’s private test won’t need to pre-install the client a second time; instead, a small patch will deliver the various changes implemented since January. And being able to preload should be extra helpful for the community since progress from The Division closed beta won’t carry over.
Xbox One users will be the first to get access to The Division open beta, with the servers scheduled to come online on Feb. 18. PS4 and PC gamers will be welcomed into the beta one day later. No matter when you’re preferred platform gets access to the test, the open beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division will come to an end on Feb. 21. And, with such a short window to play the game before its March debut, it’s no wonder Ubisoft is giving fans the opportunity to pre-load the latest beta build of The Division.
