Bethesda Softworks and id Software have recently announced that DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part Two will be launching on Nintendo Switch on August 26.
The game can be purchased directly from the Nintendo Switch eShop. It is also available via digital codes from some retailers.
It is important to note that the game will require 29 GB of storage space, so you may want to delete your old games or buy a hefty microSD card for this.
The Ancient Gods - Part Two will support gyroscopic controls on Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite. Though the feature is optional and can be enabled or disabled in the main menu.
You can play the final part of the campaign as you battle the Dark Lord himself. Multiplayer features like the “BATTLEMODE” will also be available.
Fans are happy and amazed about the announcement. User @So_Ethereal said that the Switch port never ceases to amaze them as the graphics are visually impressive.
Another user said that it is insane how the developers have managed to pull this off on a portable gaming device with modest specs such as the Switch.
While some people are happy that the game will be coming to Switch next week, some were expecting something else.
User @sword_ov thought that the devs were going to announce a new DLC for DOOM. They’ve added that they were also expecting the company to announce Doomguy’s appearance in Mortal Kombat 11.
Known Issues
Even though the game has been released on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC for some time now, you may still face some issues when playing the upcoming game.
For instance, the Tyrant will sometimes fail to spawn in the Hangar arena of Immora. This can be frustrating as you may fail to complete the encounter when this happens.
The temporary solution is to reload to the last checkpoint and run through the sequence again until the Tyrant spawns correctly. It will be fixed in an upcoming update.
Another known issue is that weapon skins are not highlighted when scrolling through the weapons tab. It will be fixed in the upcoming update as well.
