Doom Eternal is just around the corner. After an unfortunate delay, Eternal is now scheduled to launch on March 20, 2020. As the game is less than two weeks away, Id Software has decided to share the system requirements. Doom Eternal is the only game to be made using the new Id Tech 7 engine, which supports several new features. To support these features, gamers will need quite a strong PC. To fully max out Doom Eternal, PCs will need at least a GTX 1060 and i5 3.3 GHz, along with 8 GB of RAM to run at 1080p and 60 FPS with the lowest settings. The game requires 50GB of hard drive space, which isn’t a lot for today’s games (looking at you RDR2 and MW). If you want to run the game on 1440p at 60 FPS, then you will need a GTX 1080 and i7 6700k with 16GB of RAM.

To be honest, these settings aren’t a lot. Yes, the minimum setting for Eternal is higher than its predecessor, but the game has also improved technically. Doom Eternal will only support Vulkan API with ray tracing support coming sometime after launch. Most mid-range PCs will run the game just fine. The system requirements were revealed on the official Doom Eternal Steam page, however they now have been removed. We will keep you updated if anything changes.
