Doom Eternal, the sequel to 2016's critically acclaimed Doom, is just around the corner. A number of different editions of Doom Eternal are available for pre-order. If you are confused about which edition is perfect for you, then you have come to the right place. You can read about what each edition offers before investing your money in one.
Bethesda is offering three editions for Doom Eternal, namely, a Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s Edition. Pre-ordering the game will also get you some more goodies, no matter which edition you chose. These extra goodies are bundled as the “Rip and Tear Pack”.
NOTE: If you buy something through this post, Player. One may get a share of the sale.
Pre-order Bonuses
The Rip and Tear Pack offers the Doot Revenant Skin along with a Throwback Shotgun Weapon Skin. You will also get access to a Bonus Campaign Master Level. If that wasn’t good enough, a copy of Doom 64 is a part of the pre-order bonus.
This is the basic edition of Doom Eternal. The Standard Edition only offers the base game, nothing less, nothing more. So, if you are not interested in any extra stuff and just want the game, you should go for this one. The Standard Edition is priced at $60. However, Amazon currently has Doom Eternal on sale for only $49.94.
This is the edition that I personally recommend. The Deluxe Edition gives you the base game along with some additional digital content. You will be able to dress up your Doom slayer with the Demonic Slayer Skin, and can also change the sound of your weapons with the Classic Weapons Sound Pack. Not only this, the Deluxe Edition also offers the Year One pass, which means that you will get access to the two upcoming single-player expansion packs when they release. You can purchase this edition for $89.99.
Doom Eternal Collector’s Edition
The Collector’s Edition offers everything from Deluxe Edition along with some extra goodies. Your game will come with a SteelBook Case, a book of Doom lore, and a lithograph print. You will also get both the Doom and Doom Eternal soundtracks on cassette tape and a wearable Doom Slayer helmet. This edition costs $199.99, and unfortunately it is currently sold out on Amazon.
