A new DOOM gameplay trailer has been published by Bethesda Softworks, roughly two months before the game heads to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and our latest glimpse of the upcoming shooter is giving fans a sneak peek at the multiplayer maps we’ll see in DOOM at launch.
Much like the game’s campaign, multiplayer in the upcoming reboot will incorporate both the Martian landscape and the horrific landscapes one might expect to find waiting for them in Hell. In total, nine different environments will be included in upcoming first-person shooter when it hits stores this May. Each map has its own unique look and theme, though they all definitely have that DOOM feel, and players can look forward to slaughtering one another in some truly hellish environments when the franchise returns to PC and consoles this summer.
Here’s the full list of maps being prepared for the launch build of DOOM:
- Beneath
- Chasm
- Disposal
- Excavation
- Heatwave
- Helix
- Infernal
- Perdition
- Sacriligious
Sadly, only four of the nine maps get significant (read: a handful of seconds) time on screen in the new trailer. The other five environments are revealed via a four-second compilation that provides little more than a name for the remaining maps. DOOM is being developed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game will debut on May 13.
